Mexico

Michael is in Mexico City again, and last night filed a report he’d filmed in Veracruz. Here’s the “morning Buzz” on what he’ll be reporting on tonight:

Michael Ware is in Mexico where he is reporting on the drug wars that continue to plague the country. He’s been looking into the cartels and explains how they run their operations – both on the Mexico and U.S. side of the border. Tonight he’ll profile Joaquin Guzman Loera, also known as “El Chapo,” the infamous “king” of the Mexican drug lords. This guy has an interesting story: he came from poverty but is now extremely wealthy. So wealthy in fact that he was ranked on the Forbes billionaire list. But that’s not the only list he’s on – he ranks right up there with Osama bin Laden on the FBI’s most wanted list. We’ll have more on “El Chapo” tonight.

I am, obviously, very, very, VERY behind on posting stuff. I got back home early Sunday morning and will be getting everything posted ASAP. I did transcribe my interview with Michael and will be posting that later today. I also have to gather up some photos and such, see who took what… Not sure how soon CrocMedia will make the video available; I have an audio recording of his talk and will start transcribing that today.

(He did a couple other interviews Thursday; I will try to track down where those will be available.)

Also have to post the Bill Maher program (how fantastic was he on that?!) and the after show chat. Also the “Witness to War” special, which I have not yet even had time to watch.
