Okay, for real this time — he’s back

January 30, 2009 · 27 Comments

Michael was just on TSR. I think from NY, but I just caught a few seconds of it here at work. He was split-screening with Christiane (who is in Davos) so I imagine discussing economic issues as they pertain to the wars, since the B-roll playing was of Iraq.

Michael may be back

January 27, 2009 · 8 Comments

Thanks to the heads-up from Maxie … Rick Sanchez said that Michael would be on his program today to talk about the Obama interview, although he was not. But it seems like he might be back from his holiday and we may see him later today.

Our Long National Nightmare…

is OVER. We have survived the Bush Administration. If this country has the strength and will to piece together the shredded tatters of the Constitution, there is hope for a better future.

Israel/Gaza

January 3, 2009 · 18 Comments

The past several days have been like watching a replay of 2006, but with Gaza in place of Lebanon. One big difference for CNN viewers is that there are no correspondents inside Gaza, and you have to bet that CNN has been trying to find out whether Michael would be able to get in there. Presumably he’s on holiday, maybe somewhere far, far away from his cellphone… (I have to admit it’s nice not to be watching him report on the falling bombs from some rooftop in the target zone!)

I have great respect for the IDF, so I can only hope that this will not end the same way as 2006. Or if it does, that it is worth it for whatever behind-the-scenes goals they are pursuing.

Meanwhile, CNN has announced that Anderson Cooper will be in Israel Monday. Also, tonight from midnight-6am ET, they are saying they will show the International feed.
