Do not adjust your set…

I originally did the green background to match the new color on the site, but ultimately I just think it was too tough on the eyes. I prefer a cleaner (dare I say) more newspaper-looking layout. Agree? Disagree? Agnostic? Come on, you’re an opinionated bunch… 

Arwa Damon clip re Iraq treaty

I posted a clip from Arwa in the News section… she was on NewsRoom this morning to discuss the upcoming treaty that may keep US troops in Iraq. In case you’ve been catnapping while Michael was away, time to hit the books: this will be a very hot topic in the months to come, and I’m sure it will show up on the final exam!

New section on site

I *finally* got the “Where to start?” section up. Meant to have it up a couple weeks ago, but … well … So the good news is, it’s done, at least! The bad news is that I have to go back to my soul-sucking job as of Wednesday, pain meds in hand!! (Well, it’s bad news to ME, anyway! ;-D)

I’m working on getting those NPR radio clips converted and up. I discovered last night that about half of them are duplicates, they pulled an interview from one show and just used it on another. Cheaters! But I’ll try to get them done today if the games get boring. Heh heh heh.

Can we have a second mascot?

Okay, I’m a sucker for cuddly marsupials. What can I say? But this is Frankie, the first blue-eyed koala ever seen. Lives in Queensland, BTW. 

Site issues

The website was down for a couple hours, some server problem. It’s back up now, but I had to stomp my feet and threaten to unleash the Drunken Monkeys on them to get it fixed!

“Defining Moments” on CNN/I

Jim Clancy did a year-end-review show on CNN/International which included a couple of comments from Michael. It did not air on Domestic, but Délie was kind enough to capture his sections so I could post it on the site.

It looks to me like he filmed it earlier in the day when he did that final “This Week at War,” then shaved before heading for the airport!
